Just listened to the very nice play on R4 about Delius and his Florida days.
I am curious to know how he and his wife finished up in Limpsfield, Surrey.
Delius invented a kind of harmony that uses a special hearing capability that we have called Periodicity Pitch. A lot of jazz musicians use it too and they call it “rootless voicings.” I think you have to have a good ear to hear it, though.
